Education Unlimited at Hedley Hall Training


Who is it for?

People aged 16 - 18 who are not in education, employment or training in the BANES area (or may be in danger of disengaging).


What is involved?

Hedley Hall Training is working in partnership with the City of Bristol College. Each young person will be enrolled at the College and have access to the usual benefits of being a student.

Each young person will have an individual tutor who will help them design a programme of activities to help them move on. The tutor will also be responsible for delivering either the Wider Key Skills or Community Volunteering Qualification or the ASDAN Employability Award.

A programme could include the following:
Individual support
Tailor made courses
Sports including martial arts
Basic skills
Self development programmes
Work experience Voluntary work
Art and drama projects
Referral to specialist providers
Signposting to other specialised areas of support


Payments to young people:

Travel and subsistence, by agreement, can be paid. This is money paid to NEET students who are on the EUL programme.


Some examples of achievements to date are:

Progression to PC Servicing at the City of Bristol College
Progression to Hairdressing at City of Bath College
Progression to E2E at Bath and Norton Radstock Colleges
Work experience with BANES Council
Passing Driving Theory test
